Namibia Final Report 2017

The Namibia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (NAMPHIA) 2017 was a nationally representative, cross-sectional, population-based survey of households across Namibia.

It focused on measuring key biological endpoints to provide direct estimates of HIV infection risk and burden, and on the effectiveness and population-level impact of the HIV-related prevention, care, and treatment interventions implemented in the country.

It is the first national survey to conduct these measurements in Namibia. The survey also collected information on tuberculosis, as well as behaviors associated with HIV acquisition and transmission.

This project is supported by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through CDC under the terms of cooperative agreement #U2GGH001226. The findings and conclusions are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position of the funding agencies.
