After graduation, biostatisticians with advanced degrees usually end up in an office or lab to work with abstract numbers and equations.
Today, survey teams for the PHIA Project are at work in three countries and have tested more than 53,000 people for HIV.
As the headmaster and only teacher at the Ndondo Community School in the rural Mongu District of Zambia in Western Province, Mr. Lambi Chingumbe educates the children of his community on math, English, and science.
